Old People!
Yesterday, an older couple came into one of the stores I work in. The man, perhaps trying to impress his wife (or maybe girlfriend? do people date when they are like 100?) looks around, raises his eyebrows, and says, “See? Being in a store is way better then surfing on that intern web net of yours… I can smell stuff here.”
Huh.

“Then came the 20th century. White people got all uppity about sex, drugs and music.”
While looking at the Bonnaroo lineup today (which is amazing this year), I found the biography (or whatever you want to call it) for a band called Moonalice. Aside from providing the quote in the title, it featured about 3 more minutes of straight entertainment. If all goes as planned, and someone better isn’t playing at the same time, I think the biography alone has convinced me to check them out. Here is another quote, with a link to the whole thing:
“Moonalice legend speaks of a mysterious 7th player – a bass player, naturally – who possessed prodigious talent. The spirit of Yggdrassil Moonalice inhabits all Moonalice gigs. And sometimes, when the stars, sun and Moonalice align, Yggdrassil appears in body. And when he does, the tribe rejoices.”
Get geared up kids, summer is almost here.
